Legs don't matter love does

So @feliifel on instagram was just informed that her dog has a large mass in his abdomen that has the possibility of being cancerous. With the holiday's and her house needing some updating recently funds are tight and she does not have enough to cover the surgery. She has never once asked for us for money, simply said that she would be auctioning off some of her stash. She also runs an indie nail polish line called Nail Sauce and starting now the money she gets from there will be used to pay to cover the medical expenses. One dollar can make a ton of difference  Yes I know it is the holiday season so funds might be tight for everyone but don't you want to spend this time with your loved ones? That is all she wants too. The number of legs something has does not determine its worth the amount of love given and received by it does.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

On Tuesday I had a Christmas concert for my alumni's choir, I feel so old when I say alumni, and at the concert the graduates of the choir go on stage and sing one song with all the choirs that are there. So I painted these in honor of the season! I really like how they turned out...and so does everyone else I saw.

I thought they were fun and festive and really simple but complex. I loved them :)

Nails from a long time!

As promised here are some of my favorite nails that I've done over the last several months, yet I still feel as though I am missing some.

I did these for Breast Cancer Awareness month back in October. I have a simple glitter placement awareness ribbon and pinky with glitter placement. My pointer finger has SGK, for Susan G. Koman, with "SH" and "JM" around it in honor of two fabulous ladies that fought and beat breast cancer. My middle finger says "hope" with little awareness ribbons around it. My ring is plain pink.

Much like my BCA nails this is an awareness manicure. This is for PCOS. PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome, is a condition that is all to often over looked. It's missed/irregular periods, body hair growing on the belly, chest, face, and around the nipples, decreased breast size, enlargement of the clitoris, thinning of the hair on the head, voice gets deeper, acne gets worse, dark or thick skin markings and creases around armpit, groin, neck and breasts. How many of those things would you overlook because it's not too scary? How about if I told you that PCOS can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, weight gain and obesity, endometrial cancer, infertility, and breast cancer. What sucks the most about PCOS is that you don't even have to have all the symptoms, like with everything else, you can just have one and over look it because you were uninformed about it. Now that I've had my spill about PCOS and why you should be informed, and trust me that was only a portion of the information that I normally give, I will tell about my nails, not that they aren't really self explanatory.

DS Extravagance by OPI this colour is simply AMAZING! I am in love with it and I hope that in a hundred years when I die that my family will have this colour put on my nails for me to wear for all eternity.

I went to see Karmin for a concert this fall and these are the nails I did for them.

So I am in a relationship with this amazing guy and we are in a long distance relationship, LDR for short. He lives in England and I live in the United States and this was just a cute way for me to celebrate our anniversary. Totally simple but really cute. <3 :)

Happy Birthday America (1 week late)

Awareness Nails

I did these nails in honor of 5 amazing people that I knew that were battling or were done with their battles with cancer. They included 2 friends, a former teacher, an “aunt”/family friend, and an uncle . While two passed away during their battles, one a while after doing these nails, all 5 of them inspire me and give me hope everyday.

So this May the choir at my alumni, which I was in, did a production of the Wizard of Oz and to support them and advertise for the production I did these nails for them. Sadly I had to take these with my camera that has poor quality and these were done on my natural nails so this is what you get. But I did get my good camera fixed so more recent photos will be of better quality!
